About Our Shop

R&M Welding Ltd. is a family-run welding and manufacturing facility located at 34828 Western Road in Portage, PEI. We are a full-service shop offering all forms of welding — MIG, TIG, and stick — across steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Our shop is large enough to work on all aspects of metal repairs and manufacturing, and our mobile units can come to you for on-site repairs anywhere in PEI and Atlantic Canada.

We specialize in custom aquaculture and oyster farming equipment, including aluminum oyster cages, harvesters, sorters, graders, and handling systems. We also serve fisheries, marine, and industrial customers with custom fabrication, equipment repairs, and production manufacturing.

Our shop is equipped with advanced technology including a Torchmate CNC Growth Series™ 4×4™ computerized plasma cutter, a 3-D wire and rebar bender, and robotic welding — giving us the capability to produce precise, repeatable components for production runs and custom builds alike.
